Winter 2011/12 - WRPS Board considering changes to Millet School

MILLET SCHOOL IS NOT CLOSING!
FALL 2011 - Millet School starts on the Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools' Modified calendar! Change to arrival and dismissal times and length of school year - due to changes in busing the arrival and dismissal times AND the length of the school year for Millet School have changed. This year our arrival time will be 8:30am and our dismissal bell will ring at 3:35pm. There will be a morning, lunch and afternoon recess; students eat lunch from 12:15 to 12:35. This year our final day of school for students will be Monday, June 18, 2012. See the June Newsletter or Principal's Corner sections of this website for more information.
Millet School is located in the town of Millet, south of Edmonton between Leduc and Wetaskiwin and is part of Wetaskiwin Regional School Division. Millet School offers programming in Kindergarten to Grade 4 and currently has an enrolment of 170 Students. Students from Millet School continue Grades 5 to 9 at the Griffiths-Scott Middle School.

GETTING READY FOR KINDERGARTEN 2011
Starting Kindergarten is an exciting time - for both children and parents. A positive learning experience at this early age will help give your child the skills and confidence to become an enthusiastic lifelong learner.
Wetaskiwin Regional Public schools kindergarten application packages are now available. If you have a child eligible to attend kindergarten this fall (5 years old on or before December 31, 2011) now is the time to pick up a Kindergarten application package available at the Division Office 5515-47A Avenue in Wetaskiwin or at the school. Complete the forms enclosed in the package and return them to the school on kindergarten registration night, March 22, 2011 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm or at the school office.
